Rokhsar, (pronounced Roxar) is an Accredited Mental Health Social Worker with a degree in Social Work and membership with the Australian Association of Social Workers.

Rokhsar’s journey into the helping profession started in youth mental health over a decade ago and she has since worked across the life span including with expecting parents, children and young people, adolescents and adults, and the elderly in both government and non-government services.

Tailored Support Services

Providing emotional, psychological, practical, and social support.

Rokhsar ’s work is individually tailored based on needs and is provided in a warm and supportive manner, utilising a range of evidence-based modalities including Psychoeducation, Cognitive Behaviour Therapy, Dialectical Behaviour Therapy, Acceptance and Commitment Therapy, Narrative Therapy, attachment theories, Motivational Interviewing, Grief and Loss Counselling, Interpersonal Therapies and through addressing traumatic life events.

Rokhsar is passionate about supporting people with experiences of depression and anxiety, Bipolar, grief and loss, attachment injuries, interpersonal conflict, end of life care, self-esteem issues and adjustment disorders.

Rokhsar is available to support health and allied health professionals in the field who experience workplace stress, compassion fatigue, or who may need professional and clinical supervision as well as supporting Social Workers with obtaining Accreditation and setting up private practice.

Rokhsar has a special interest in cross cultural learning and cultural integration, by helping health professionals who have come to call Australia home and bringing a multi lensed approach to their practice. This approach facilitates sense making while we may be going through an adjustment period.

Qualifications

Bachelor of Social Work

Graduate Certificate in Healthcare Redesign

Master of Leadership (Health and Human Services).

Clientele

Aged 12 and above.

Rokhsar accepts self-referrals, referrals from GP through Mental Health Care Plans, EAP work, Insurance including NDIS.

Fees

Medicare rebates available for mental Health Care Plans (MHCP) and non directive pregnancy counselling referral with a gap fee.

Supervision fees will vary based on organisational referral or personal referral.
